Beatrice L. (Desclos) Soucy, 93, of Hudson and formerly of Nashua, passed away early Sunday morning, March 19, 2017 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson. Bea was the widow of Robert J. Soucy.
Mrs. Soucy was born in Nashua on November 15, 1923, daughter of the late Emile and Lillian (Lavoie) Desclos. She was a homemaker and also worked part time at the former Doehla Greeting Card Company, St. Joseph Hospital and Howard Johnson’s Restaurant & Motor Lodge all in Nashua.
Bea and her husband Bob were married in June of 1948 and made their home on Wason Avenue for many years. They shared 38 years together until Bob’s passing on October 11, 1986.
She was devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was an avid sports fan.
Members of her family include four children and their spouses, David A. and Diane Soucy of Nashua, Sylvia and Christopher Lennox of Henniker, Ann Marie and Richard Lafoe of Derby, VT and Joseph E. and Heather Soucy of Litchfield; eleven grandchildren, Kenya Plaza and her husband Aaron, Bianca Rivera and her husband Eduardo, Denae Soucy and her fiancé Jean Dumais, Erin Lennox and her husband, Justin Candeloro, Molly Lennox and Christopher Lennox, Jessica Bartlette and her husband Jason, Aaron Baker, Sarah Heimreid and her husband Tom, Travis Soucy and Timothy Soucy; ten great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Peggy Desclos of Monroe, NC; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Bea was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Kevin Baker.

My condolences to the family of Bea Soucy. I was an LNA at Fairview for 2 years. I will remember her for her feistiness, her love for the Yankees and her affectionately call everyone, babe!!! She was a true pleasure to take care of. I will miss her.

I offer my condolences to Bea's family. I knew her as a staff member of Fairview. I recognized and respected her daily courage. Bea spoke her mind as she saw things. I had many conversations with Bea and I was absolutely sure of her love of sports and children. I am glad she is at peace now.
