Carolyn (Waters) Gidge, GRI, CRS, RCS went home to the Lord Wednesday, April 4th, one day shy of her 98th birthday, following a brief illness. Prior to her illness she was a resident of Ledgewood Bay Independent and Assisted Living Community in Milford.

Carolyn was born April 5, 1920, in Millinocket, Maine, the eldest of three daughters of Doris (Brown) and Walter James Waters. She was a long-time resident of Nashua, NH. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1938 and married Raymond Gidge in 1939. The couple had two sons, David A. Gidge and Thomas B. Gidge.

Carolyn entered real estate in the 1970’s. She was an owner of 400 Associates Real Estate for a time and worked with several real estate firms in the greater Nashua area before retiring in 2004. Carolyn was a former member of the Nashua Country Club for many years where enjoyed playing golf and curling. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nashua. She loved and enjoyed her family and staying in touch on Facebook and Skype.

She was predeceased by her parents, her two sisters, Jean Hutcheson and Norma Archambeault, her husband of over 40 years Raymond, her son David A. Gidge, and her nephew Ralph Hutcheson.
She is survived by her son, Thomas B. Gidge, and Claudette Brunetti of Leander, TX, a daughter-in-law, Jill Haynes Gidge of Nashua, NH, four grandchildren: Carolyn (Gidge) Hayes and her husband Lonnie of Round Rock, TX, Genie L. (Gidge) Robinson and her husband Wesley of Brackettville, TX, Bryan R. Gidge and his wife Suezanne (Sites) of Scotts Valley, CA, and Kevin D. Gidge of Camano Island, WA, and three great-grandchildren: Alicia Decker of Round Rock, TX , Eisley and Jack Gidge of Scotts Valley, CA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their spouses: Patricia (Hutcheson) and Robert Burkhardt, Carolyn (Hutcheson) and Garrett Lacasse, Virginia (Hutcheson) and Tony Placanico, Jimmy Hutcheson, Susan Hutcheson, and a great-niece Christine Placanico all of MA.

Carolyn is being cremated and there are no calling hours at her request. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church of Nashua, 121 Manchester Street, Nashua, NH, with interment of her ashes in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following.
