Debra L. Lemelin, 55, of Nashua, NH, sadly passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 after suffering a long illness that stemmed from a brain aneurysm she had several years ago.

She was born April 22, 1962 in Nashua, NH, a daughter of Joan L. Lemelin (Marchand) from North Andover, MA and predeceased by her father, Arthur J. Lemelin of Nashua, NH. Debbie was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School.

In addition to her mother, Debbie will be sadly missed by her brother, Robert Lemelin and his wife Cheryl Lemelin, her sister Nancy Lemelin and her loved one Paul Courounis, her sister Cathy Lemelin, her nieces and nephews Jennifer Lemelin, Christina and Wendy Lemelin, Michael Lemelin, Jessica Courounis, Jake Courounis, and Zander Adams-Lemelin. She also leaves behind her Uncle Leon Marchand and her Aunt Linda Wheeler. She loved her four-legged friends including Lucy, Skittles, and Snookums.

Debbie was a fun loving, caring, beautiful person who loved to play bingo, make jewelry, and do arts and crafts. She was a strong member of the family who loved spending time together. Her sense of humor and quick wit made her so much fun to be around. She was a Taurus and definitely as stubborn as a bull! She was the best sister, daughter, aunt and friend there could be and will be deeply missed by all who got to know her. Debbie worked as a Customer Service Representative for Old Dominion Freight Lines and enjoyed her job and the great friends she made there.

Her illness may have taken her away from her loved ones, but she will always be remembered in our hearts with great love and respect. The family is grateful to the care, love and support Debbie and her family received from Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. They helped her transfer from Earth to Heaven in a peaceful way and their devotion to not only Debbie, but to her entire family was remarkable.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 50 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Saturday morning, November 11th at 10 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Memory of Debra Lemelin to support Neurosurgery. Please send gifts to: Philanthropy Office, Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805. You may also donate at giving.laheyhealth.org/donate.
