Dorothy Jean (Stephens) Jameson, 86, of Nashua, widow of C.J. “Bud” Jameson, passed away at her home at The Huntington at Nashua, Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018.

Mrs. Jameson was born in Sondheimer, Louisiana on February 10, 1931, a daughter of the late Jacob Arthur and Pearl Odessa (Thomas) Stephens. She was raised in East Prairie, Missouri and was a graduate of East Prairie High School, Class of 1949; where she lettered in basketball. Dorothy also made her home in Sikeston, MO, Ames, IA, Montclair, Ca, Window Rock, AZ, Charlottesville, VA, Longwood, FL, Amherst, Hudson and Nashua, NH and Tarpon Springs, FL.

In her leisure time, Dorothy enjoyed sewing, machine embroidery and RVing with her husband. She especially loved time with her family, children and grandchildren.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband “Bud” who passed away March 29, 2009. They shared 56 wonderful years together.

Members of her family include her four children, Karen Lea Strawser and her husband Richard of Austin, TX, Judith Marie Walsh and her husband Bruce of Londonderry, NH, John C. Jameson of Nashua, and Darrell J. Jameson and his wife Diana of Del Rio, TX; ten grandchildren, Eileen Southmayd Lopez, Catherine Lacey, Geoffrey Southmayd, Bridget, Molly and Regan Jameson, Jessica and Jameson Walsh, Scott M. Strawser, and Sean M. Strawser; eight great-grandchildren, Grant Stephen Lacey, Drew Jameson Lacey, Jemina Mercy Lopez, Hope Rebecca Strawser, Reed William Strawser, Cade Michael Strawser, Trent Daniel Strawser and Berlin Richard Strawser; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her eight siblings.

Her funeral service will be held in the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday, January 23rd at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery. The Rev. Michael Meyer, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Friends are invited to attend and are welcome to call at the funeral home, Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. My sincere condolence to the family. Ps 34:18 Jehovah is close to the broken hearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit.
