Harold Loring Baldwin, 87, passed away Wednesday evening, November 8th, 2017 at his home with his family in Nashua.
Harold was born on December 6, 1929 to the late Carlotta Iola Crockett and Harold Seymour Baldwin. He was raised in Nashua and attended local schools. He graduated from Nashua High in 1947 and went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Business at Colby College. Harold played football as a fullback throughout both high school and college. Following college, he enlisted in the U.S. Marines Corp, serving in 1951 during the Korean War. When Harold returned home, he began working for Nashua Trust Bank, where he met his wife, Shirley (Bourdon). The two married on August 22, 1954. Harold went on to work for Nashua Corporation, Sentry Insurance, and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Throughout his career, Harold was a well-respected businessman. He retired early to dedicate time to care for his disabled wife Shirley until her passing on May 28, 2000. Over the course of his life he enjoyed boxing, football, golf, Readers Digest, the Telegraph and time with his family. Over his life he donated to multiple local charitable and religious organizations. In the last several years of his life, he was cared for by his family, so he could enjoy his life at home. Harold was a very generous man who was always there for his family.

In addition to his wife, Harold was predeceased by his parents and his son Michael C. Baldwin. He is survived by his children Claude Russell Baldwin and his wife, Cathy West; Cindy Lee Loranger; Daniel Loring Baldwin and his wife Michelle Baldwin; grandchildren Lonnie, Jason, Brittni, and Russell Baldwin; Jessica, Seth, and Dustin Loranger; Ryan and Derek Baldwin; great-grandchildren Tavian, Kaden, Jalee, Emma, and Abby Loranger; Milo and Juniper Guertin-Loranger; Brayden, McKenzie, Julianna, Jaxden, Natalie and Alyssa Baldwin; Joseph and Sabrina Mangiafico; his sister, June Kamieniecki and her children Krista and Barry; as well as several cousins.
SERVICES: Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua. A service will take place at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 18 Lock Street, Nashua.
