Lucille Theresa (Avard) Boucher, 86, of Nashua, wife of George E. Boucher, passed away Friday morning, November 10, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a period of declining health.
A native and lifelong resident of Nashua, Mrs. Boucher was born on April 27, 1931, daughter of the late Albert N. Avard and Alice (Dube) Avard. Educated in local schools, she was a graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy in Hudson and Mount Saint Mary College in Hooksett, earning a Bachelor’s degree.

Lucille, with her family, owned and operated Britches of Concord Clothing Store in Concord, NH for over 34 years. She built a successful business, including a solid base of loyal clients, with her great sense of fashion style. Lucille thrived on working with people and absolutely loved what she did, considering many of her clients as family.

She also enjoyed her time spent gardening and had a solid reputation as a wonderful cook. She treasured her time spent with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren, who feel blessed to have had her as such a loving presence and positive role model in their lives.

She is survived by her husband George of Nashua, son Raymond and his wife Victoria, and two grandchildren Olivia and Cooper of Littleton, MA. Other members of her family include her nephew Richard Avard of Nashua and two nieces, Joanne and Carol Avard Esq., of Cape Coral, Florida. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Raymond Avard.

There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place on Friday morning November 17th at 10 o’clock in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, 32 Pine Hill Avenue, Nashua. Donations may be made in Lucille’s memory to Home Health & Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054. Dearest Boucher Family, I am heartily sorry to hear of the loss Lucy. She was a kind friend & neighbor to our family. Lucy forever in our hearts <3
