Nancy Anne Ellis, 61, of Nashua, passed away Saturday evening, February 25, 2017 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack after a brief illness.
A resident of Nashua for the past 15 years, Nancy was born in Presque Isle, Maine on January 20, 1956, one of eight children of the late Vern Leroy Ellis and Mavis Louise (Dove) Ellis. She grew up in Caribou, Maine where her father owned and operated a potato farm. Nancy attended schools there and was a graduate of Caribou High School Class of 1974.
Nancy worked as a computer technician for Wholesale Computer of Stamford, Connecticut and also worked and resided for a time in Long Beach, California.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading and rug hooking and was an avid New England Patriots fan. Nancy was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Nashua.
Members of her family include her significant other, Arthur L. Furber, with whom she shared over ten years together; two sons, Jamie Simon and Keith Simon;
a brother of Atlanta, GA; and six sisters all residing on an Indian Reservation in Canada; and her extended family, The Frost Family.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday evening, March 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. Following cremation, interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery at a later date. Toots, I'm so sorry to hear this. I well remember her as a little girl with the sweet face and bubbly personality. I came across a picture of her recently when we were students at Oxbow Grade School. My deepest sympathy to all of you. Susan B.
