Pearl Catherine Bailey, 96, of Nashua, widow of Jason C. Bailey, passed away Monday morning, February 26, 2018 at the Courville at Nashua, after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on July 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Percival and Lottie Butterfield. Pearl grew up in Lowell and attended schools there.

Pearl and her husband Jason were married on Memorial Day in 1941 and made their home in Dunstable, MA where they raised turkeys and chickens. They moved to Nashua in 1957 and resided on Williams Street and later at Whitegate on Spit Brook Road. The couple enjoyed traveling to Florida where they resided for a few years and also spent many summers at Hampton Beach. The Bailey’s shared over 67 years together until his passing on June 29, 2008. In her leisure time, Pearl enjoyed baking, sewing and walking in downtown Nashua.

Members of her family include her son and daughter-in-law, Jason A. and Doris Bailey of Nashua; her daughter, Sheryl C. Demers of Florida; three grandchildren, Scott Dion of California, Brian Bailey and his wife Melissa, and Marc Bailey all of Nashua; six great-grandchildren, Justin Dion, Joshua, Caleb, Kira and Nathan Bailey, and Hayley Delisle; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Pearl was predeceased by her brothers, Howard, Wendell and Clifford Butterfield; and her son-in-law, Louis Demers.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will take place at Central Cemetery in Dunstable, MA at a later date.
