   Sir Robert D. Lepine, KCHS, 79, of Nashua, ended his journey on earth and entered into eternal life with his beloved Lord on Saturday evening, July 16, 2016 after a brief illness.

   Born in Nashua on June 21, 1937, he was a son of the late Donat J. and Orise (Collard) Lepine. Sir Robert married Mary R. Matylewski on June 25, 1960 and shared 45 years together until her passing on February 14, 2006.

    Sir Robert was educated in local schools and held two degrees in Business Management. He retired in 1996 after 30 years of service with Sanders/Lockheed Martin in the Contracts Division. Sir Robert was a communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua and a former communicant of St. Kathryn’s Parish in Hudson and the former St. Casimir Church in Nashua for over 50 years. He served on the church council and was a founder and first president of the St. Casimir Married Couples Club and was the first Eucharistic Minister at St. Casimir’s. From the age of 16, Sir Robert has been a very active and dedicated worker for the church. At St. Kathryn’s he had been an active member of many parish functions, parish council, VSA (Vocation Support Association) mercy meals, prayer group, grounds keeping and annual Bazaar. He felt the most important role he served was as Coordinator for the Vocation Support Association Committee providing prayerful and financial support to young men and women, along their path towards religious life.   

    Sir Robert was Knighted and Invested into the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem by Sean Cardinal O’Malley at the command of his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI and the Holy See and was invested on October 26, 2006 at Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston. Sir Robert was elevated to Knight Commander by Sean Cardinal O’Malley at the command of his Holiness Pope Benedict XVI and the Holy See at a ceremony held at the Holy Cross Cathedral on November 16, 2011. He remained active and involved in every way he could in this Holy Order which he so loved, supported and revered. To be knighted into this Holy Order is to receive the highest honor that can be bestowed on any lay person or clergy by the Catholic church.

     Members of his family include his daughter, Linda M. (Lepine) Robinson and her husband Stanley Robinson of Merrimack; his grandson, Jonathan M. Robinson and his great-grandson Dylan Robinson all of Merrimack; brother-in-law, Albert Berger of Nashua; his loving extended family, Robert and Theresa Monette and their son, The Rev. Michael Monette who has been like a loving and faithful grandson to Sir Robert; also many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Fernand J. Lepine and Gerald J. Lepine; and two sisters, Yolande (Lepine) Cote and Loretta (Lepine) Berger.

 SERVICES: Everyone is invited to the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua on Friday evening, July 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, NH 03063 or to Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, 340 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608. Lin, so sorry to hear the sad news. What a beautiful obituary; you must be very proud of him. As you know he was like a "Dad" to me in many ways growing up and I will always remember that (the good times, not the times we got into trouble, well ok, maybe I'll remember those times too). My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless!

Lin, Stan, and Jon - I'm very sorry for your sudden loss, and I'm glad that he was able to spend his last days enjoying his great grandson. May happy memories comfort you during this time.
