Andre Eugene Cloutier 87, a longtime Nashua resident, passed away Friday morning, September 25, 2015 at Aynsley Place, after a period of declining health.

     Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on August 4, 1928, he was a son of the late Fernand and Antoinette (Dodeman) Cloutier. “Andy” was educated in Catholic and public schools of Woonsocket and was a graduate of Hillyer College, Ward School of Electronics in Hartford, Connecticut, with a major in Communications Technology. He also attended Lowell Technical Institute and the University of New Hampshire.

    An Army veteran, Mr. Cloutier was a Staff Sergeant in the 118th Combat Engineers, 43rd Division during the Korean War. After the war, he was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Corporation in East Harford, Connecticut.

    After moving to Nashua in 1955, Andy was employed for 35 years at Sanders Associates, Electronics Division of Lockheed Martin Corporation, retiring in 1990. During his career there, he worked as an engineering manager on military contracts and as a field service representative in Denmark, Viet Nam and Iran.

     Mr. Cloutier was a Certified Professional Logistician and a charter member of the Granite State Society of Logistic Engineers where he served as chairman of the awards committee. He was President of the BAE retirees club and was a communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection.

     Andy was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Bernadette J. (Bellerose) Cloutier who died May 13, 2006. They were married in Woonsocket, RI on August 1, 1953. He was also predeceased by his son Daniel E. Cloutier in April 2011; and his brother Marcel Cloutier.

     Members of his family include a son Donald Cloutier and his wife Brenda; three daughters, Jacqueline Chouramanis and her husband Charles, Cynthia Miner and Jane Bonenfant; seven grandchildren, Benjamin and Bethany Bouchard, Heather Cloutier, Spencer Radford, Chad and Amber Bonenfant, and Matthew Santamaria; his close friend and companion, Helen L. Wing of Nashua; a sister-in-law, Doris Cloutier of Dayton, Ohio; a cousin, Rene Fleurant; also many nieces and nephews.

      Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday, September 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 11 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
