Denise G.L.A. Labrie, 58, of Litchfield and formerly of Nashua, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Born in Nashua on May 10, 1958, she is a daughter of Armande G. (Beaulieu) Labrie and the late George J. Labrie. Denise attended St. Francis Xavier School and graduated from Nashua High School Class of 1976. She furthered her education at the University of New Hampshire where she majored in Fine Arts.

While raising her family, Denise often referred to herself as a Domestic Engineer. She kept an immaculate home, and was involved in every aspect of her children’s lives, as was often seen through their school projects and her volunteerism. Denise was an Art Teacher at St. Christopher School and more recently worked as a caregiver and companion.

Denise was the consummate mother and caregiver to anyone or anything that needed her. She was an accomplished artist and avid reader, animal lover and New England sports fan.

She is survived by her mother, Armande G. Labrie of Bedford, NH; her three children, Gregory P. Bonnette and his wife Michelle of Medfield, MA, Lorilee B. Butler and her husband Sean of Norwood, MA and Alyssa M. Bonnette of Manchester, NH; her grandchildren, Amelia and Eamon; her sister, Marie Nickerson and her husband Eric of Milford, NH; her brothers, Michael “Mitch” Labrie and his wife Annie of Haverhill, MA and Daniel Labrie and his wife Karen of Epping, NH. She will also be sorely missed by countless nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, godchildren, and those who would consider themselves her “adopted” children, all over the world.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday, November 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service. Donations may be made in Denise’s memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064 http://www.hsfn.org/donate-now. Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE. (603) 882-0591. www.farwellfuneralservice.com

so sorry to learn of this - I worked with Denise at the Chart House in the early 80s, and I never forgot her. It's interesting that she referred to herself as a domestic engineer because she lived for her family and made being a mom seem like so much fun! I remember her talking about her little kids and the different recipes she planned to try. I looked for her on Facebook not long ago, then just read of her passing. Prayers for her Dan who was in my class and the rest of her family.

I went to High School with Denise and Mitch. It has been many years since I saw her last. But she always had a smile and was always so kind. It carried through her life and for this many were blessed with her presence and abilities to make people smile. May your family memories live long and their hearts heal.

I remember Denise from St. Francis and Nashua High. Seeing her at the 40th High School Reunion just a few weeks ago, with that beautiful smile that never stopped, I will never forget her. God bless her and her family.
