Norma Shirley (Palmer) Colarusso, 94, a longtime resident of Nashua, widow of Harold W. Colarusso, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 22, 2016 at the Courville at Nashua.
A resident of Nashua for the greater part of her life, Norma was born in Brunswick, Maine on April 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Perley R. and Nellie L. (Keith) Palmer. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1940.
Mrs. Colarusso had been employed with the former New England Bobbin and Shuttle and Sprague Electric Company both in Nashua. In her leisure time, Norma enjoyed Candlepin bowling.
Norma and her husband Harold, were married on July 24, 1943 and made their home in Nashua, Merrimack and Amherst over the years. The couple shared 54 years together until Harold’s passing on March 2, 1998. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond S. and Priscilla A. (Morin) Palmer and Roland H. and Helen F. (Barnaby) Palmer; her sister and brother-in-law, Lillian V. and George A. Forrence II; her sister-in-law, Dorothy (Colarusso) Mills; and her brother-in-law, Harvey Tremblay.
Members of her family include a brother-in-law, Robert Mills of Florida; sister-in-law, Rita Tremblay of Nashua; her closest friend, Claire Gamache of Nashua; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Norma’s caregiver, Debi Robertson of Orlando, FL, wishes to express her sincere gratitude to the staff of Courville at Nashua for their care of her aunt.

A Graveside Service will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua on Friday afternoon, December 30th at 1:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
