John D. Fellows, 66, formerly of Nashua and Charleston, NH, died early Tuesday morning, May 12, 2015 at the Apple Valley Center in Ayer, MA after a period of declining health.
Born in Concord on November 2, 1948, he is a son of Deloris I. (Drook) Fellows and the late John Frederick Fellows who died in 2002. During his youth, John resided in Henniker and Nashua and later made his home in Charleston for several years. He was educated in the Nashua school system.
John began his career as a woodworker with the former Triangle Pacific Cabinet Corporation in Nashua and later worked for the Nashua School Department as a custodian at Mount Pleasant School for several years.
In his younger years, John was raised in the Methodist church and in his leisure time enjoyed camping and fishing.
Members of his family include his mother, Deloris I. Fellows of Hudson; his loving companion, Michelle Levesque of Charleston and formerly of Nashua; his four daughters, Marlena Giammichele and her husband Tom, and Jane Hartsock and her husband Rusty all of Elmira, NY, Charlene Fellows of Horseheads, NY and Amanda Fellows of Lowell, MA; fourteen grandchildren, Brandi, Tanner, Ashley, Ryan, Richell, Audreana, Kenneth, Eric, Joshua, Natasha, Shamaine, Charles, Nickolks and Damien; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Sutcliffe and her husband Brian of Nashua; two brothers, Paul R. “Rich” Fellows of Nashua and Fred H. Fellows of Merrimack; his former wife, Nancy Belanger of Elmira, NY; also nieces, nephews and cousins. John was also predeceased by an infant brother, Paul James Fellows who died in May 1951.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday, May 15th from 3 to 7 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place in New Cemetery, Old Concord Road in Henniker, NH, Saturday morning at 11 o’clock.
