James L. Carson, 69, of Hudson, NH, passed away at his home, on Friday, October 6, 2017 after a long illness.
A resident of Hudson since the early 1980s, Mr. Carson was born in Peterborough, New Hampshire on September 28, 1948. He had been employed with the Boston & Maine Railroad as an Engineer for many years, working at the Nashua Yard and traveling throughout New England.
Jim enjoyed boating and fishing and was a devoted animal lover, especially to his dogs.
Members of his family include his wife, Ellen (Collupy) Carson; his son and daughter, Scot Carson of Nashua and Heidi Carson of Amherst; two step-daughters, Michelle Dodge of Hudson and Erin Keene of Florida; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Elizabeth, Abi, Daniel, Amanda, Ashley, Emily, Rachel and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Jonathan, Mila and Ellie; two brothers, Richard Carson of Londonderry and Robert Carson of Wilton; a sister, Dolly Gilcrest of New Boston; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by three brothers, John Davis, Fred Davis and Ronald Carson; and a sister, Rose Gomez.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday afternoon, October 11th from 2 to 5 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 5 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend. Donations may be made in his memory to the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NH-SPCA), 104 Portsmouth Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885.
