Chin Nam Set, 71, of Nashua, husband of Rattial C. Wang-Set, passed away Sunday evening, October 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital.
A native of Kluang, Johor County, Malaysia, he was born on February 1, 1946.
Chin immigrated to the United States in 1972 and became a US citizen in the 1980s. He attended schools in Malaysia and furthered his education at Lowell Technical Institute, now the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. He earned his Master’s degree from the University of Buffalo, New York.
After obtaining his Master’s degree in Computer Science, Chin had been employed as a software engineer with Wang Laboratories, Lockheed Sanders, Raytheon, and Thermo Fisher.
Chin was a devoted husband and father, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader, his favorite author being Dr. Wayne Dyer. Members of his family include his beloved wife Rattial, to whom he was married for 37 years; his daughter, Samantha Set, and son-in-law Robb Hughes; also one aunt, five brothers, and one sister.
