Madeleine (Beaulieu) Bergeron went home to God on November 24, 2017 after an extended illness, attended by her family and loving husband of 54 years, Gérard.
She was born Madeleine R. Beaulieu on April 27, 1927 in Nashua, NH, the daughter of Napoleon G. and Rose-Alba Beaulieu. She and her sister, Jacqueline (Beaulieu) Pelletier together were known as “The Beaulieu Sisters,” performing for many years locally, with singing and piano duets.
Madeleine had many occupations in her life, including working at the Knitting Shop and at Sprague Electric. She also worked for many years with her husband at Gerry Masonry Construction. Among her many gifts and talents were that she was an excellent homemaker, wife and mother and a fabulous cook.
A longtime communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church, Madeleine was a member of the choir for 40 years with her husband, Gérard. The two of them with the choir had the incredible opportunity in 1988 to go to Rome, Italy to meet and perform for Pope John Paul II! Throughout her life, she was passionate about music and was a skilled pianist and organist.
She was honored by the Catholic Church by becoming Lady Madeleine Bergeron, LHS of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
Madeleine and her family spent many years of their lives on the shores and beautiful waters of Lake Winnipesaukee. She and her husband created countless memories for family and friends; memories that will last a lifetime.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Napoleon G. and Rose-Alba Beaulieu; her sister, Jacqueline Beaulieu Pelletier; and her first husband Raymond D. Levesque.
