   William J. Martin Jr., 76, of Nashua, formerly of Everett, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his home, Tuesday, June 16, 2015.

    A resident of Nashua since 1976, Mr. Martin was born in Everett, Massachusetts on November 12, 1938, a son of the late William J. and Sara J. (Kearney) Martin. He was predeceased by his step-mother, Ada (Donahue) Martin; a son, William J. Martin III; and a brother, Leo Martin.

    “Bill” was educated in Everett schools and furthered his education at the University of New Hampshire’s School of Life Long Learning. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

    Mr. Martin had been employed with Digital Equipment Corporation for 19 years and then worked as a senior technical writer for many companies.

    He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed reading and computers in his leisure time.

     Members of his family include his wife of 48 years, Mary L (Francoeur) Martin of Nashua; his.  children, Allan M.Martin and Dee Dee J. Martin; four grandchildren, Allan, Matthew, Ashleigh and Nicole; and four great-grandchildren, Lisa Marie, William, Grayson and Angelina.

    Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday, June 22nd from 3 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, MA. Friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701 or the American Diabetes Association, 249 Canal St, Manchester, NH 03101.
