Sylvia E. (Cote) Miller, 79, of Hudson, widow of Robert A. Miller, passed away early Thursday morning, June 4, 2015 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson after a period of declining health.
A resident of Hudson for the greater part of her life, Sylvia was born in Nashua on January 24, 1936 a daughter of the late Leon P. and Dora (Lampron) Cote. She was educated in Hudson schools and was a graduate of Alvirne High School Class of 1955.
Sylvia and her husband Bob were married on June 25, 1955 and shared nearly 60 years together until his death on May 27th. Mrs. Miller was predeceased by a brother, Sylvio Cote; and two sisters, Florence Barriault and Claire Lefebvre.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Sylvia loved spending time with her family and baby-sitting. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5791 Auxiliary of Hudson.
Members of her family include two daughters, Linda A. Miller and Karen A. Campbell; two grandchildren, Jessica Campbell and Christopher Campbell and his wife Krysta; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson Campbell and Devynn Rangel; two sisters, Pauline Laine of Clermont, FL and Claudette Grohosky of Hudson; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. A Memorial Mass is being planned and will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
