Catherine Marie “Kay” Evarts, 90, of Nashua, widow of Thomas Lincoln Evarts, passed away Tuesday evening, August 7, 2018 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Kay was born in New York, NY on November 18, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Murphy) Duffy. She was educated in New York City and attended City College of New York. A resident of Nashua for the past three years, Kay previously made her home in Harwich Port, Massachusetts for many years.
Kay leaves behind six children, Barbara Quinn and her husband Barry, Franklin Evarts and his wife Louise, William Evarts, Edward Evarts and his wife Kathy, Julie Grossman, and Erin Rosenbruch; ten grandchildren, Rachael Beikmohamadi and her husband Kamran, Thomas Evarts, Kyle Quinn, Sara Evarts, Caroline Evarts, Kurt Grossman, Brett Grossman, Jake Rozier and his wife Anna, Heather Mantell and her husband Brett, and Aaron Quinn and his wife Alyson; a great-grandson, Kian Beikmohamadi; and her sister, Agnes Duffy. In addition to her husband and parents, Kay was also predeceased by her sister, Theresa Duffy and her aunt, Mary “Annie” Murphy.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday morning, August 13th beginning at 11 o’clock followed by her funeral service at 12 noon.
