Lucienne L. Norway, 74, of Nashua, widow of G. Edward Norway, passed away Sunday evening, August 9, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.

   A resident of Nashua for the past 44 years, Mrs. Norway was born in Lyndonville, Vermont on June 11, 1941 a daughter of the late Paul and Lorraine (Fortin) Begin.

During her youth, Lucienne resided in Lyndonville, East Haven, St. Johnsbury and Milton, Vermont.

   In addition to raising her family, Lucienne was a waitress at Ned’s Restaurant in Vermont; owned a operated a day care in her home and also owned a ceramic studio. After moving to Nashua in 1971, Mrs. Norway had been employed with Market Basket as a cashier at the Amherst Street and South Nashua stores for twenty seven years.   

   Mrs. Norway was a communicant of St. Christopher Church. In her leisure time, she loved being outdoors especially working in her flower garden and also enjoyed ceramics.

  Lucienne was predeceased by her husband Ed, who passed away on May 13th of this year. They were married on October 14, 1961 and shared over 53 years together.  She was also predeceased by her sister, Doris Blodgett.

   Members of her family include her three children and their spouses, Micheal Norway of Nashua, David and Louise Norway of Merrimack and Annmarie and Rick Nantel of New Ipswich; eight grandchildren, Austin Norway and Levi Norway of Nashua, Scott Werner of Hardin, IL, Tyler Nantel of Webster, NC, Megan Nantel of Milford, NH, Trevor Nantel and Mallorie Nantel of New Ipswich and Jillian Norway of Merrimack; a great-granddaugther, Isabel McKown of New Ipswich; a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Susan Begin of Bow, NH; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

     Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday August 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 10 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Donations may be made in her memory to the Community Hospice House, Attn. Development, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
