Cecile (Turmel) Falkowski, 95, of Nashua, widow of Theodore “Ted” Falkowski, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare.

Mrs. Falkowski was born in Nashua on March 25, 1923, a daughter of the late David and E. Octavia (Rodier) Turmel. A resident of Nashua for the greater part of her life, she resided in Hudson during her youth and later made her home in Haverhill, Massachusetts for a time. Cecile attended Infant Jesus Parochial School in Nashua, Presentation of Mary Academy and Hudson public schools.

During her career, Cecile had been employed at the Nashua Mills of the former Nashua Manufacturing Company, Sprague Electric Company, RdF Corporation in Hudson and later at Nashua Corporation until her retirement in 1989.

In addition to her parents, Cecile was predeceased by her husband Ted, whom she married in 1943 and shared 45 years together until his passing in 1988.

Members of her family include two sisters, Yolanda Vaillancourt of Milford and Theresa Morin of Nashua; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Turmel, Theodore Turmel and Richard and Jeanne Turmel all of Hudson; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Cecile was also predeceased by three sisters, Marie Whitney, Jane Barry and Virginia Ecklund; and four brothers, Roger, Maurice, Jerry and Edgar Turmel.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Kathryn Church, 4 Dracut Road in Hudson, Thursday morning, September 27th at 9 o’clock. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Nashua. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church.

To all the Turmel families we are so sorry for your loss..please accept our deepest sympathies and condolences on the loss of your sister, Cecile...She was a wonderful person, she and my mom were friends. Cecile came when my mom passed, I really appreciated her coming, she was a very sweet lady. My mom was friends with several of your sisters, Dorene (Baxter) Demanche she lived in Hudson till 1948, when they moved to Merrimack. But she kept in touch with her and your others sisters. So very sorry for your families loss of your sister.
