Frank J. Harris, 91, of Nashua and formerly of Lehighton, PA, passed away Saturday evening, October 13, 2018 at the Crestwood Center in Milford after a period of declining health.
Born in Washington, DC on October 20, 1926, he was a son of the late William and Julia (Lincoln) Harris. Following his high school graduation, Frank enlisted in the Army and served as a Master Sergeant from the end of World War II and the Korean War until his honorable discharge on February 7, 1953.
A longtime resident of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, Mr. Harris had been employed as an inspector with General Electric. In his leisure time, Frank enjoyed repairing radios and televisions and bird watching.
Frank was the husband of the late Olympia (Tomayer) Harris, whom he married in Germany in 1944 and shared 64 years together until her passing on December 27, 2008.
Members of his family include his daughter and son-in-law, Christine A. and Joseph Dunhom of Nashua; three grandchildren, Tina Bevilacqua and her husband Jim, Michael Dunhom and his wife Pamela and Stephen Dunhom and his wife Deidre; eight great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Andrew, Patrick, Victoria and Charles Dunhom, Kathryn Bevilacqua, Ryan Martin and Rachel Holden; a brother, Danny; a sister, Margaret; and two nephews, Dr. Andrij Wojtowycz and George Wojtowycz. In addition to his wife and parents, Frank was predeceased by five siblings.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 50 West Hollis Street, Nashua on Thursday morning, October 18th at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Friends are invited to attend.
