David C. Reed, 75, of Nashua, died at his home, Saturday, January 3, 2015 after a brief illness.
Born in Nashua on September 9, 1939, he was a son of the late Erma (Twiss) Reed and the widower of Margery (Hallam) Reed who died in 2007. During his youth, David resided in Hudson and was a graduate of Alvirne High School Class of 1957.
Mr. Reed had been employed with the former Alexander’s Supermarket and later worked for St. Joseph Community Services as a Meals on Wheels driver. David held membership in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Nashua and previously was a member of the First Baptist Church of Nashua.
Members of his family include his daughter, Cynthia (Reed) Spitz and her husband Phil of Laconia; his son, Jeffrey Reed and his wife Lori (Labrie) of Nashua; five grandchildren, Katelyn, Alexander and Aiden Hansly, and Michael and Joshua Reed; a brother, William H. Reed and his wife Mary-Ellen of Nashua; two nieces and a nephew; and a very close friend, Peggy L’Ecuyer of Nashua; and a loving circle of friends.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. His funeral service will be held in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 4 Watson Street, Nashua, Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend.
