Darlene A. (Deschene) Rodier, 60, of Hudson, formerly of Litchfield, NH and Lowell, MA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
Born in Lowell on November 17, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Andre G. and Barbara Ann (Hanney) Deschene. Darlene was educated in Lowell schools and was a graduate of Keith Hall Class of 1977.
Darlene had been employed as a medical manufacturing associate with the Getinge Group of Merrimack, NH and previously worked at MACOM in Lowell, MA for over twenty-five years.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Darlene loved spending time with her family; loved dancing and country music; and was an avid New England sports fan.
Darlene was the wife of the late Curtis A. Rodier, whom she married in July of 1984 and shared 22 years together until his passing on April 22, 2007. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Gilbert F. Deschene and Kevin R. Deschene; and two sisters, Michelle Deschene and Sharon Deschene.
Members of her family include a daughter, Ashley Rodier; a son, Matthew Rodier; two step-daughters, Nicole Orcutt and Alicia Shields; several grandchildren including Aliana R. Perez; three sisters, Karen L. Coan, Kimberly A. Thompson and her husband David, and Laurie A. Rondeau and her husband Brien, all of Lowell, MA; her Godchildren, Meghan Coan and Jake Rondeau; two aunts, Patricia Hanney and Joan Dowling and her husband John, all of Lowell, MA; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Monday, May 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John XXIII Parish (St. John The Evangelist Church), 25 Library Street in Hudson, Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua. Family and friends are invited to attend and are asked to gather at the church.
