Barbara Rinaldi, 64, passed away on Sunday, August 18th after valiantly battling breast cancer for over two years.
Originally from New Jersey, Barbara moved north with her husband, Michael, 34 years ago and eventually settled in Nashua, NH. She was a talented and innovative educator with a natural instinct for connecting with even the most troubled students. She took great pride in being a stay-at-home mom to two children, Lindsay and Alex. When they were grown, she worked in special education as a tutor for the Nashua School District alongside other private contracts.
Barbara was a kind, selfless, and thoughtful person who was fiercely dedicated to her family and close friends. Although she was shy and naturally introverted, she often found herself forced out of her shell when volunteering for local school and community initiatives. She was an avid learner and an actively creative soul who was always on the hunt for her next big project. Her caring and compassionate spirit was always focused on creating a warm and welcoming home.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Michael, her two children, Lindsay and Alex and their spouses, and a large, boisterous, and truly wonderful extended family.
Shiva will be observed at the family home from 4-8pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday followed by a private memorial for immediate family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara’s name to support the good work of the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center and their network of amazing doctors and medical professionals.
