Doris N. (Laflamme) Rousselle Spencer, 93, of Milford and formerly of Nashua, NH and Spring Hill, FL, passed away Saturday morning, August 31, 2019 after a brief illness at her home at Ledgewood Bay Assisted Living, where she has made her home for the past eleven years.
Doris was born in Hudson on November 27, 1925, a daughter of the late George and Emma (Laforest) Laflamme. She moved to Nashua at an early age and was educated in local schools.
Doris and been employed with Sprague Electric Company in Nashua and later assisted her husband Ken in the operation of Spencer Janitorial Service for many years.
In her leisure time, Doris loved gardening, was an avid reader, especially biographies, and enjoyed crocheting and quilting. A talented cook, she was known for her outstanding spaghetti sauce and homemade baked beans. Doris will be remembered as a most loving and kind person.
Doris was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Kenneth E. Spencer, who passed away in November 2007; and her former husband, Richard Rousselle, who passed away in December 1989. One of eight children, she was predeceased by three sisters and four brothers, Norman, Connie, Rita, Lorraine, Donald, Gerard and Roger.
Members of her family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary R. and Nancy Rousselle and Edward G. and Sally Rousselle; three grandchildren, Heather, Jessica and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Justin; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff of Ledgewood Bay Assisted Living, for their care and kindness extended to Doris.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, 32 Pine Hill Avenue, Nashua, Friday morning, September 6th at 10 o’clock. Friends are invited to attend.
