Frances (Belleau) Santerre, 85, of Nashua, widow of Arthur E. Santerre, Jr., passed away Tuesday evening, December 17, 2019 after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Santerre was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on March 19, 1934, a daughter of the late Francis and Laurette (Goulet) Belleau. She grew up in Dracut, MA and has made her home in Nashua for the past 63 years.
Frances was a homemaker and later worked as a seamstress at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua until she retired.
Later in her life, for a number of years, Frances prepared communion at Grace Fellowship Church in Nashua, now known as Gate City Church. Frances adored babies, loved animals, and was always eager to help those in need.
In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband Arthur, who passed away in 1978. They were married in June of 1956 and shared 22 years together.
Members of her family include four children, Arthur E. Santerre, III, and his wife Nancy of Norristown, PA, Jacwelyn Santerre of Derry, Marianne Carlberg and her husband Aaron of Santa Maria, CA and Marguerite Girouard of Nashua; five grandchildren, Christina Ward, Peter Santerre, Emily Santerre, D.J. Girouard and Daniel Girouard; five great-grandchildren, Caden, Grace, Livia, Samantha and Cassidie; a brother, Robert Belleau of Dracut, MA; two sisters-in-law, Marcella Sprague and Andrea Santerre; also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, Friday, December 27th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by interment in St. Louis Cemetery.
