Virginia was the Business Department Director at Nashua High School when I first met her as a student teacher from Plymouth State in the fall of 1969. She encouraged me to fill a vacant teaching position in the department and then continued to be a valuable mentor in the years that followed. I am grateful for her friendship, guidance and support during the first half of my 50 year career in education. She is in my thoughts and prayers for eternal peace. My deepest sympathy to your family.

To the Hallisey Family: Virginia was the first elementary school teacher that made an indelible impression on me as a young student. Now, more than fifty years later, I still recall with affection my time under her watchful eye at Crowley school. That she had also taught my older brother and sister more than fifteen years earlier is also worth noting. I am pleased to read that she lived such a long, fulfilling life, as she had such a positive influence on those of us who were fortunate enough to have passed through her classroom doors. My family and I extend our most heartfelt condolences to yours and hope that you will celebrate the lasting legacy she left behind.
