COTE, ALICE E.

  Alice E. (Amburg) Cote, 79, of Nashua, widow of Normand M. Cote, passed away Monday afternoon, May 11, 2020 after a brief illness.    

   A native of Rumford, Maine, she was born on March 26, 1941, a daughter of the late Robert and Jeannette A. (Peare) Amburg. After moving to Nashua in the early 1950s, Alice was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1959.  

   She was a homemaker, loved caring for her family and especially adored her twin great-granddaughters. Earlier in her life, Alice enjoyed playing card games with her friends.

    Alice and her husband Normand were married on June 17, 1961 and shared nearly 39 years together until his passing on February 20, 2000. Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. and Marc Bouley; two grandchildren, Brian Bouley and his wife Amy, and Danielle Bouley and her fiancé Mgo Kassabian; her twin great-granddaughters, Aubree and Catherine; three sisters and a brother, Carol Fraser of Deep River, CT, Robert Amburg of Inverness, FL, Nancy Sawyer and her husband William of Nashua, and Linda Cooke and her husband Elliott of Scranton, PA; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.     

   Private calling hours and funeral service will be held in the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME. Interment will take place in Edgewood Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 18 Lock Street, Nashua. www.farwellfuneralservice.com

She was a wonderful mother, mother in law, great grandmom, and friend. She will be miss more then I can say. I am so happy we had some wonderful times together. I am glad you have no more pain and suffering. May God open His Heavenly gates to welcome you home. May you Rest In Peace.

Barbara and your family. Sorry to see that your mother passed away. I remember her as a great neighbor and our children growing up together. We used to have fun at the neighborhood parties.

Alice was always caretaker to the group of Countryside Drive she was awesome she was funny she was hospitable it was so much fun hanging at the little fireplace that she had Outback for us all to go to here and there through the night will miss you

we will remember the many good times we shared, we have wonderful memories of our childhood days, all through high school, lost touch for a while but came back together thanks to her great Yankee Swap parties how we had fun and laughs. We also did our monthly luncheons, which were such a great time. Dear friend may you Rest in Peace with your loved ones.
