Armand A. DeLuca, 79, of Newbury, MA, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 17, 2021 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA after a brief illness.            

   Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on May 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Dionisio and Maria (Varnese) DeLuca. Armand was a graduate of Lawrence High School Class of 1959 and graduated from Merrimack College.

   Armand was employed with BAE Systems in Merrimack, NH as a finance manager for many years.

    A resident of Plum Island for the past 32 years, he and his wife Rumi, wintered in Hollywood Beach, Florida. In his leisure time, Armand enjoyed antiquing and collecting Oriental rugs. He was a very devoted husband, enjoyed spending time with his longtime friends and loved his dogs, JoJo and Sandy.

    Members of his family include his wife of 29 years, Rumi (Shiroki) DeLuca, whom he married on November 15, 1991 at Alvirne Chapel in Hudson, NH; his daughters, Kimberly Holman and her husband David, and Karah Spence; five grandchildren, Blake, Madison and Turner Goodwin, Takoda Spence and Brock Holman; his father-in-law, Russell W. Dudley; and nieces, Lisa Fisher, Lynne O’Neill and Julie Richardson. In addition to his parents, Armand was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Pelliccione.

     Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, NH on Thursday, March 25th from 4 to 7 p.m. A Graveside Service will take place in the Spring at East Cemetery in Hollis, NH. My condolences to the family. I worked with Armand at BAE systems. He had the office next to mine and was very enjoyable to work with. Armand was nice to everyone and it was common for him to share a few laughs with the team to break up some hectic workdays. May he Rest In Peace.
