Dr. Timothy Alavosus, 59, of Hudson, NH, and formerly of Plaistow, NH, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Sunday, November 28, 2021.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on December 22, 1961, he is the son of Joan B. (Jakstis) Pavolis of Westboro, MA and the late Joseph G. Alavosus. Educated in the Worcester school system, Timothy earned his bachelor’s degree from Brandies University and his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Brown University.
Timothy was a co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of AlgaMetrics of Marblehead, MA.
A lover of all animals, Timothy volunteered at the MSPCA in Methuen; enjoyed playing guitar and was a member of the St. John’s Lodge, A.F. & A.M.
Members of his family include his wife, Marilee (Barnes) Moran Alavosus of Hudson, NH, his son, James Alavosus of New York; his mother and step-father, Joan and Dan Pavolis; and step-daughter, Andrea Audet and her husband Simon.
His Graveside service will take place in Children of Israel Cemetery, Middle Road, Haverhill, MA, Tuesday, December 7th at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064. hsfn.org
