I knew Doug when I was in my Teens. We were neighbor a while and he and his girlfriend at the time would watch my son Nate for me when I was in a pinch. He was a great guy then. Seems he had a wonderful life. RIP Doug!

I ran into Doug a few months ago at Bill Cahills super subs. He seemed in good health and good spirits as usual. We sat and ate lunch joking around. I am shocked and sadden that he has past. RIP my friend, you will be deeply missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

Douggie Doug!!! You were the best! We miss you deeply already! Please rest easy knowing we will forever cherish the last two decades you’ve been our family, our father figure and your most FAVORITE role PEP! Douggie Doug I can tell you that you were a very important man in my life as well as your little buddy Jaiden and we will forever cherish each and every lesson, experience and story you’ve shared with us! Jaiden wants you to know that you were the best PEP ever and no one will EVER will replace you and no one will ever be able to come close to comparison. Your heart so big, your laugh so contagious. I am extremely fortunate and grateful that it was you that took my son under your wing and taught him many of life’s lessons and considered him your grandson. We’ll continue your legacy and talk about you often I promise! Jaiden has been very sad to hear you’ve passed on, but also sad that he didn’t shoot a deer with you. I told him that when he does get his first deer, you’ll be right there cheering him on and told him that he will feel your presence because I know you would not have left him / us if you had the choice. Douggie I love you and thank you for choosing to be the man you were to my sisters and I as well as our babies! Your grandchildren. I hope your in heaven still hugging your mom so tight, I know you’ve missed her. Rest easy Douggie Doug. Much love always - your daughter Melly and your grandson aka “little buddy” Jaiden.

So sorry Kati, I know how much you loved your Dad, and how special he was to his grandchildren, Ama’Ree, Armani, Amazin, Azaiah. I’m so happy you all were all to spend last summer together. I’m so sorry, your children were left out of the obituary. But I know Grampy loved them and is watching over them. You love sweetie and I’m here for you all.

Rip uncle Doug even though I only got to experience only a few moments with you those very few moments touched a place in my heart, the way you would smile would light up the whole room you were in. You were a very loving and caring person. Always worried if others had it the same as you & you were always down to help others get to the top right along with you. I know this loss will put a toll on the family but we need to remember to stay strong. We can fight through anything together! As long as we stick together as one big happy family 😕 days like this I wish I could of spent more time with you and the family because you never know when the next ones time is up. With that being said. Rock the heavens 🙏🏼 Watch over the fam. We love you.

Dad, even though you're not my biological father, you never treated me less than your biological children. You loved me unconditionally, and always tried to give us more than what you had when growing up. The memories that we made, and that we shared will forever be on my mind. I am, and will forever be greatful to have had blessed to be rasied by an amazing, loving, selfless man who taught me many amazing things, as well as life values. Also, I am and will be forever greatful to have been able to be part of a family that was raised to have our relationships close to each other, so when times like this we can all feel/know that we can all lean on each other. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I love and miss you dad, fly high! Give all the loved ones up there hugs and kisses for me, and one day we will be together again, but till then dad please watch down over me, and my kiddos! You, will always be my dad, and I will always be your baby girl!
