Carol Ann (Morse) Leigh, died peacefully on Monday morning, April 18, 2022 in the loving care of family in Hudson.
Born in Nashua on December 26, 1939, Carol was a daughter of the late Veronica L. (Owens) Morse and Raymond F. Morse. She was given the name “Christmas Carol” by the church on her baptism, which always held special meaning to her.
She was immersed in the Hudson community serving as a Cafeteria employee in the Hudson Elementary School, and participating in local events. Carol spent many years of employment at Benson’s Animal Farm, and Centronics. In the 1990’s you could find her welcoming smile at Bradlees in Nashua where she served as a cashier.
Carol will be most remembered for her love of the Red Sox, Patriots, Scat, Bingo, parties and family. She raised her four daughters with love, patience, grace, and fierce independence. She spoiled her family with McDonald’s outings, crocheted blankets, and the best homemade cookies and banana bread. At all events, big or small, you could always find her behind the camera documenting her family’s memories. Her holiday cards with handwritten messages of love, and her ability to remember everyone’s birthday will be sorely missed. She was kind, loving, and welcomed all with open arms. If you were fortunate enough to call her friend or family, you felt her deep love.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Tammy Rackliff and her husband Joseph, Sheila Fauteux and her husband Guy, Sharyl Desruisseau and her husband Steven, Jodi Boutin and her husband David; grandchildren, Kymberlee Leigh, Jolene Damon, Heather Pereira, Derek McCrum, Shannon Fauteux, Brittany DeFlumeri, Cory Boutin, the late Tabitha Fauteux, Dylan Boutin, Trevor Fauteux, Katrina Rackliff, Hannah Albanese, Makayla Fauteux, Makenzie Fauteux, their spouses and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Simard; and her brothers, Raymond G. Morse, Harry Chesnulevich and Ralph Chesnulevich.
We pray “She calls us when she gets home”. A Graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, April 23rd at 10 o’clock at St. Patrick Cemetery, 71 Derry Road in Hudson.
