I just recently heard of Dan's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Dan over many years working at the DOC. Over time, I came to appreciate his work, knowledge and selflessness. The DOC will never understand the total effort and benefit he contributed to the success of their computer environment. At times I think Dan was spending more money on DOC than they were paying him! That was his commitment to making it happen no matter the cost. I very much appreciated having him in the organization. God Bless!

Uncle Dan, it’s taken me a little bit to put into words what I want to say, and I’m still at a bit of a loss. You have been a constant in our little family my whole life. I have shared nearly every single holiday with you, watched you welcome significant others, great nieces and nephews as they joined the family, and of course been my mom’s best friend. Your generous and kind heart has touched us all. The holidays will not be the same without you. What I wouldn’t give to hear about how Panera cuts bread wrong one more time :). Love and miss you.

Uncle Dan, We simply could not have asked for a better uncle. Your generosity, laughter, and kindness brought so many great memories to all of our lives, and our holidays won't be the same. Love you and miss you.

Peggy, Stan and family. I had the pleasure or should I say honor of working for/with Dan for many years. We kept in contact since his retirement and collaborated on a project together near and dear to his heart. His witticisms, comments and observations were priceless! We used to go to lunch quite often and when anyone would offer to pay, he refused. If we pushed him on it reminding him how many times he paid, he would always fall back to the fact he was our Boss and it was unethical to accept money from us. Remembering our times together at work, always made me smile, His stories of Florida, treasurer's office and what it was like starting up the VAX were often hilarious and classic Dan. I will not forget the celebrations we had at work and his culinary skills! May God bring you all peace and happiness and BLESS him. Thanks Dan it was quite the trip...Maybe I will go buy a new Cadillac????

Hi Dan, have shared our lives from the first cell of our being. You gave me a shoulder to cry on and an ear to hear all my woes. You took on that roll after our mom passed away. I loved having a twin brother. We had a very special bond. Now my better half has gone on to better things. I’ll miss you every day until we meet up again. Now enjoy your popcorn, eclairs and whatever foods you had to give up while here on this earth. I’ll miss your laugh and maybe even your stories. Bye for now and see you on the other side .....your other half Peg ❤️
