Geraldine V. “Geri” Raby, 87, of Nashua, widow of Maurice G. Raby, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, November 21, 2022 after a period of declining health.
A resident of Nashua since 1972, Mrs. Raby was born in Billerica, Massachusetts on June 13, 1935, a daughter of the late James and Violet (Porter) Groves. Geri was educated in Billerica schools and graduated from Howe High School Class of 1953. In addition to raising her family, she worked at Price’s Bakery in Lowell, MA and then at Technical Devices in Chelmsford, MA for over thirty years.
Geri loved gardening, crocheting, arts and crafts in her leisure time.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Maurice, who passed away October 2, 2011. They were married on May 5, 1973 and shared 38 years together.
Members of her family include her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda-Lee and David Levesque of Merrimack, NH and Beverly-Jean and Steve Saffle of Georgia; four grandchildren, April Levesque, Crystal McKenzie and her husband Jay, James Whaley and Heather Whaley; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Jack, Beau and Grayson; a sister, Gwendolyn Hicks of North Carolina; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Geri was also predeceased by her sister, Judith Brady.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Friday, December 2nd from 3 to 6 p.m. A Graveside service will take place in Edgewood Cemetery, 107 Amherst Street, Nashua, Saturday, December 3rd at 11 o’clock.
