Scott W. Read, 60, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away early Thursday morning, March 23, 2023, after a period of declining health. Born in Nashua on July 25, 1962, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Yvette (Bibeau) Read. Educated in local schools, Scott was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1980.

Scott had been employed as a quality control inspector with several manufacturing businesses in the electronics industry.

A devoted father and husband, his greatest pride in life was family and seeing his son grow. Scott enjoyed reading, history, science fiction, fantasy, and literature. He was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots. In his younger years, Scott was a highly achieved ballroom dancer and instructor.

Members of his family include his wife of 37 years, Sandra M. (Dinardo) Read, whom he married on April 27, 1985, his son, Ian Andrew Read; and dear friends including Deborah Dufresne.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, Tuesday evening, March 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Wednesday morning at 11 a.m.  followed by interment in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. I’m sorry for your loss. I didn’t know him well, but I did know him to be a source of positive energy in everything he was did. I am sorry I couldn’t be there physically to support you all going through this, but I am with you in spirit.
