    E. Robert “Bob” Dionne, 86, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away Sunday evening, August 6, 2023 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center after a brief illness.

   Born in Nashua on February 3, 1937, he was the son of the late Emile Robert and Elise (Marquis) Dionne. Educated in local schools, Bob was a graduate of Nashua High School Class of 1955. An Army veteran, Mr. Dionne served with the military police at Fort Dix, New Jersey from 1955 to 1957.

   A machinist by trade, Bob had been employed with Bemis Company of Nashua for many years.

    Bob was a longtime communicant of Infant Jesus Church and was an Altar Server. He also held membership in the Lafayette Club of Nashua.

   Members of his family include his wife, Doris A. (Desclos) Dionne, whom he married on September 6, 1958 and would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary next month; his daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Gary Balcom of Milford and Jeanne and Robert Gregoire of Goffstown; three grandchildren, Raymond Balcom, Kelsey Trepanier and Matthew Gregoire; a great-granddaughter, Audrey Trepanier;  two sisters, Annette Maynard of Nashua and Lorraine Ouellette of Gilmanton; and several nieces and nephews.

   There are no calling hours. A Graveside service will take place at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Thursday morning at 11 o’clock. Family and friends are invited to attend.
