Constance M. Polero, 82, a longtime Nashua resident, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 7, 2023 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center, after a period of declining health.
Born in Rumford, Maine on July 15, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura Polero. Educated in Rumford schools, “Connie” moved to Nashua after her high school graduation to pursue a career in nursing. She attended St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Connie was a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua for over 30 years.
She was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church in Nashua and sang in the choir of St. Bernard’s Church in Fitchburg, MA for over five years. Connie was a member of Saint Anthony’s Fraternity Secular Franciscan Order for over 40 years.
An avid world traveler, Connie enjoyed many trips including Caribbean Cruises, the Holy Lands and the Far East. On many trips, Connie was accompanied by her cousins and her Aunt Evelyn for over twenty years.
Members of her family include her brother and sister-in-law, Marcel and Charlene Polero of Scarborough, ME; three nieces, Tammy, Debby and Tracy; and close cousins. Connie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis Street, Nashua, Wednesday, December 13th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
