I spent a lot of time socializing with Danny back in high school, together with a large group of accordion-playing friends. I was sad to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace, reunited with his true love.

Dan and I started at Raytheon around the same time back in the late 1970’s and we spent a lot time together at WSMR (and at a variety of El Paso restaurants) back in the 80’s. When I lived in Yokohama and he was in Nagoya, he stayed in my apartment one weekend and we did the tourist thing together in Tokyo. In more recent years, he would often drop by my office at 6AM-ish and we’d discuss retirement planning together. After he had retired, he’d occasionally phone me at my office to rib me by saying something like “I’m driving by Raytheon right now in my ’56 -Bird. Why are you still working?” In retirement, we had lunch together a few times. When it came time for him to sign-up for Medicare, he would repeatedly phone me with litanies of questions regarding the process. And maybe once each summer, I’d stop by at car shows in order to BS with him for a while. I concur with previous observations that after Dan so tragically lost Kim, he was never the same again. Certainly, his career focus was affected and it was quite discernable that his heart just wasn’t in it anymore. Dan was indisputably a character. He was totally unafraid to do or say as he thought. Nonetheless, he was my friend and I am going to miss him.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I remember He and I discussed a major and critical functional implementation at the window side overlooking the parking lot several years ago. Hope he rests in heaven and reunites/stays with Kim forever...

I worked with Dan at Raytheon for many years. I always enjoyed hearing Dan and Eric argue about the technical issue du jour. He tried to mask his kind heart with his gruffness but we knew better. I remember he sent such thoughtful gifts when my twins were born. He included 2 books for me to record their milestones. He reminded me to enjoy the little moments as they pass quickly. I am so saddened to hear this.

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Dan was my mentor when I first came to work with him all those years ago. He had that gruff exterior about him, but anyone who knew him would tell you he had a heart of gold. I was lucky to have known him and worked with him for so long.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dan's passing . Dan and I shared an office together my first 5 years at Raytheon and in those early years we hung out together quite a bit. I attended some of his band performances and we played tennis together. I didn't get to know Kim until she ended up working for me. It was clear how much they loved each other and now they can finally be reunited.

I worked with Kim at Raytheon and it was there that I met Dan. He certainly was his own person, long hair and cowboy boots. I remember many times being in Kim’s office in the middle of a work situation and he would barge in and start telling Kim about something. She would said, “Dan, I am busy now and we can talk at home” He loved her so. He would, for no reason at all, buy beautiful things for her. Always buying clothes for his daughter too. He took care of Kim at home on her final days. He was very protective of who was able to visit with her. Once Michelle (our boss) and I visited Kim at her home. He came to the door and said, “She is not seeing anyone now” We both just said, “We are not leaving until we see her” We knew her days were limited. We were so thankful for that last visit. Ali. Your Mom talked about you all the time. She loved both you and your father so very much
