Steven Normand Cormier, 65, of Nashua, passed away Thursday morning, March 14, 2024, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a period of declining health.
Born in Gardner, Massachusetts on June 30, 1958, he is a son of Normand R. and Barbara A. (Stuckey) Cormier. A resident of Nashua since 1963, Steve attended Infant Jesus Parochial School and was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School Class of 1976. During his years at BG, he played in the school band, played football, hockey and was a member of the Ski club. Steve furthered his education at the New England Aeronautical Institute in Nashua, where he earned an associate degree. He continued his studies in business administration at Plymouth State College.
Steve had been employed with Digital Equipment Corporation in Billerica, MA in its finance office for several years.
A talented musician, Steve played piano and guitar and loved Rock & Roll music. In his leisure time, he loved mountain climbing and nature. Steve will be lovingly remembered as a kind and gentle person.
His family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Community Hospice House and the Oncology staff of Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Steve’s wish was for a universal cure for cancer.
Members of his family include his parents, Normand and Barbara Cormier; a brother, Scott Cormier; two sisters, Arlene Snedeker and Carolyn Duquette and her husband Glenn; seven nephews and a niece, Shawn Cormier and his wife Stephanie, David Cormier and his wife Ally, Dylan Cormier, Joshua Cormier and Ethan Cormier and their mother, Melissa Weller; Jason Snedeker and his wife Monique, Holly Snedeker and her significant other, Jon Bryan, and Michael Towle; grandnieces and grandnephews, Sophia, Owen, Scout and Parker; and his extended family, The Hayes, Mitchell’s and Cormier’s.
Family and friends are invited to the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A Prayer service and interment will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
