Lucille Barratt, of Nashua and formerly of New Bedford, MA and Rochester, NH, passed away at her home at Langdon Place in Nashua, early Friday morning, October 23, 2015 after a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Pierre and Lauda (Bergeron) Cournoyer, she was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on June 4, 1918. Lucille was educated in local schools and was a high school graduate.
Lucille was predeceased by her first husband, Capt. William Arthur Brightman who died during World War II and her second husband Sydney T. Barratt. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Armand J. Cournoyer and Maurice Jacques.
A resident of Rochester, NH for many years, Lucille had been employed with a screen printing business where she painted art work and later worked with her husband Sydney in the operation of a shoe store. Lucille also did stitching for sample shoes.
Members of her family include her daughter, Joyce B. Hamor of Nashua, NH; a grandson, Sean Sosik – Hamor and his wife Kelly of Pelham, NH; a nephew, Robert Spencer and his wife Maeve of Rochester, NH; grandnieces and a grandnephew, Amanda, Andrew and Julie.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
