   John T. O’Shea, 82, of Nashua, passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday morning, May 8, 2024, after a brief illness.         

   A resident of Nashua since 1978, he was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on July 10, 1941, the only son of the late Patrick and Ellen (O’Connor) O’Shea. John grew up in Somerville, MA and was a graduate of Boston College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics.

    John enjoyed a long career with Liberty Mutual in Boston, where he worked in many capacities during his 35 years there.

    An avid sports enthusiast, John was a lifelong fan of the Boston College Eagles and followed the Boston sports teams. John and his wife Susan, enjoyed traveling to Ireland and to the beach. He also loved to read; was interested in the news and loved his dogs.

    Members of his family include his wife, Susan (Huk) O’Shea, whom he married on May 3, 1969 and shared 55 years together; his three children, Jessica O’Shea, Julie O’Shea Burke and her husband Jamie, and James O’Shea and his wife, Meredith; and his three grandchildren, Maggie, Liam and Patrick O’Shea.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, Thursday, May 16th at 11:30 a.m. His family will receive friends at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus Cemetery at a later date.
