Elizabeth E. “Betty” Moreau, 88, formerly of Celeste Street, Nashua, widow of Edward E. “Pete” Moreau, passed away Monday afternoon, October 12, 2015 at the Crestwood Center in Milford after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Moreau was born in Epping, NH on March 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Andrew D. and Constance I. (Martin) Johnson. During her youth, she resided in Raymond and Hudson and was educated in local schools.
She had been employed with the former J.F. McElwain Shoe Company as an Inspector for 24 years and later worked for Delta Education in Hudson for 15 years.
Betty and her husband Pete were married in Hudson on June 28, 1969 and shared 41 years together until his death on September 19, 2010. She was also predeceased by two sons, Gary and Robert Lacasse; a brother, Andrew D. Johnson Jr.; and a sister, Stella C. O’Dell.
Members of her family include four children, David Lacasse and his wife Patricia of Litchfield, NH, Shirley Ricard and her husband Ernie of Fayetteville, NC, Danny Lacasse of Walterboro, SC and Judy Petrain of Merrimack, NH; three step-daughters, Kathy Moreau of Hudson, Beatrice Cooper of Little Falls, NJ and Pauline Moreau of Manchester; twenty grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard P. Johnson and his wife Lillian of Londonderry and William Johnson and his wife Maureen of Manchester; two sisters, Gloria Cook and Lucille Boucher both residing in Colebrook, NH; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, THIS EVENING (Thursday October 15th) from 5 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Friday morning at 10 o’clock.
