   Margaret E. (White) Corriveau, 85, of Litchfield, widow of Earl A. Corriveau, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 after a brief illness. Born in Burlington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Bernice (Downing) White. Raised in Waterbury, VT, Margaret graduated from Waterbury High School and went on to Sheldon Academy of Beauty Culture.       

   Margaret was a hairdresser for over 30 years, working in Boston, Laconia and eventually owning Total Image in Merrimack, NH. After closing the salon in 1993, Margaret worked at Filene’s in Nashua until her retirement.

    Margaret made her home in Merrimack, NH and New Smyrna Beach, FL, before moving to Litchfield many years ago. Margaret had many friends with whom she enjoyed the beach, playing cards, traveling and playing Mah Jong. Margaret enjoyed golf and her friendships at the New Smyrna Golf Club. She was especially proud of her “Hole in One”. She was a parishioner at Our Lady Star of the Sea in New Smyrna Beach and St. Jude’s Parish Community in Londonderry.

    Members of her family include her son, Joseph Corriveau of Mont Vernon, NH; her daughter, Linda Corriveau of Plymouth, NH; four grandchildren, Finnegan Mattson, Brayden Corriveau, Connor Frizzell and Norah Frizzell; her brothers, Richard White and his wife Anne, David White and his wife Jane; her sister, Theresa King and her husband James; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years, Earl A. Corriveau; and four siblings, Mona Austin, Mary White, Berton White and Gloria Mayo.

     There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Rte. 128, Londonderry, NH, Saturday, August 24th at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Laconia. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to the American Heart Association, the New Hampshire Food Bank, or a local food pantry of your choice. what a shocker...her smile will last forever. my heart goes out to you forever. her grandchildren were her greatest joy. and she was ours. my heart aches for you.

Margaret was a dear dear friend. I will miss her so much. We did several vacations together and had one planned in October. My condolences to the family.
