I am so sorry to hear about Bert. He and Jon welcomed me to Nashua when I first moved east from Kentucky in the early 80s. I appreciate how good they were to me and all the laughs we had back then. While I had not seen Bert in decades, all those good times flooded back when I heard he passed. It has been nice to follow him, Lisa, and their family on Facebook. Sympathies to Lisa and the family.

There are no words to describe the loss of such an extraordinary individual. I've known Bert and Lisa since high school and got to see more of them when we bought a house a few doors down from them. I can't recall ever seeing Bert without a smile on his face (ok, maybe once on the golf course). He was always the "fun" guy, making everyone laugh and feel included. His legacy will live on through his beautiful daughters and adorable grand-babies. Lisa, you have been in my thoughts everyday. The amazing love you had and the memories you shared will give you the strength you will need to move forward. 🙏🏻❤️

Bert was my youngest cousin and was the glue that held all of us together. He was the first to reach out to all of us in troubling times, as well as to celebrate happy milestones, bringing his bright smile and loving embrace along with him! A devoted husband and father, he is an example to all of us. He was one of a kind!

A beloved next door neighbor and friend through my teens Bert made fast friends with my brother and I and took us under his wing. A happy memory among many others is Bert, microphone in hand, ripping out his rendition of "Beth" from Kiss (with benefit of Kiss in the background) we played that recording over and over...can you picture it, what a hoot! Our deepest condolences Lisa to you and the family.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear that Bert passed away so unexpectedly and tragically. Lisa, Bert was such a bright light and although we hadn’t crossed paths recently, seeing him on Facebook with his bright, proud, happy smile always made me smile. The world lost a good one and he will be missed by so many.

So devastating. I went to Kindergarten with Bert and have know him all of my life. The nicest most comfortable man EVER. He lived below me at UNH (thank god) and we shared many stories and great times. What a couple-remember how Vinnie got you together? 🌝. I’m endlessly happy that he got to meet his grandchildren Lisa and I’m thinking of you every day. Love Sandi (Cassin) Dei Dolori

My memories of Bert and Lisa go way back to 1980 when Lisa and I worked at Jeannotte's Market together. She and Bert were so young and so in love ❤️ . Although we went our separate ways after high school, I was able to follow their love story through Facebook. May the love of your family embrace all of you, especially you Lisa, at this time. May Bert rest in peace. Kim Telley-Deveaux

Say it ain't so. My first baseman, my childhood friend and neighbor. Not sure I know of anyone who seemed to be happy ALL THE TIME. It must be his amazing family. You clearly made his life a joy; you can see it on his face in all his pictures. My heart felt condolences from me and Lisa, who have celebrated 39 years of marriage like Bert. May we all meet on the field again someday....

From third grade, Bert was a neighbor, competitor and friend. While our paths separated after high school, we did reconnect and it was great to see the father and friend he had become. My mother also fondly remembers talking with him when he visited his grandparents at the Norwell where she worked. Clearly will be missed.
