Yvette (Pelletier) Soucy, 95, a longtime Nashua resident and more recently of Lancaster, NH, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Kurt Johnson of Lancaster.

A native of Saint Hilaire, New Brunswick, Canada, Mrs. Soucy was born on November 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Chasse) Pelletier. While raising her five children, Yvette worked at the former Sanders Associates and its successor BAE Systems.

Retirement gave her time to enjoy her many interest, a lifelong love of books, the performing arts and traveling to Paris, France and sea cruises to the islands she especially enjoyed.

Mrs. Soucy was predeceased by her son, Richard Soucy; her daughter and son-in-law, Arleen and Norman Quirion; her sisters, Lucille Gagnon of Van Buren, Maine, Gertrude Schena of Nashua; and her brothers, Lucien and Adrien Pelletier.

Members of her family include two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne Marie and Marcel Boulanger of Loudon, NH and Sharon and Kurt Johnson of Lancaster, NH; a son, Ronald Soucy of Florida; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Soucy of Georgia and her loving former daughter-in-law, Luann Soucy of Nashua; also 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren; four sisters, Alice Cyr and Adrienne LePage and her husband Marcel all of  Saco, Maine, Bibianne Pelletier and Geralda St. Peter both of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.

Our mother was the matriarch of the family. A loving and beloved mother and grandmother, she was patient and kind who handled everything life threw at her with courage and grace. She loved and took delight in her entire family. Yvette will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by us all. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Northwood’s Home, Health & Hospice.
