I have very fond memories of Fred at Cameraland, and seeing him around the neighborhood and stopping to have a nice chat. He was a terrific man. My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Lorraine and Brian, and the entire family.

So sad to hear of the passing of "Fred" as he was known to Richard and I. What a great man with a great knowledge of photography. He helped us (RB Croteau Photography) in many ways for many years. Our prayers and our hearts go out to Lorraine who always stopped by to say "Hello" when she walked around downtown Nashua and to her family. God bless you all as your father is now an angel watching over you.

Lorraine, Brian and the entire Lawrence family.... I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of "Mr. Lawrence". I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I stopped into Cameraland, and the knowledge I gained from doing so. A nicer man will be hard to come across.... My thoughts and prayers to you all....

Fred was the man who turned me on to photography back when I was about twelve in the early sixties. Indeed, he sold me my first adjustable lens camera. We stayed friends ever since, a situation changed somewhat when I moved to Massachusetts and now Savannah. My best to Lorraine, and Brian of course, and those of his family I never met. He passed on many bits of wisdom, the one that still makes me smile is when I asked what to do with all the pictures; he said, "Just keep the good ones."
