Alfred M. Cassavaugh, Jr., 79, of Hudson, passed away Saturday morning, October 28, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, after a brief illness.
A longtime resident of Hudson, he was born in Nashua on April 21, 1938, a son of the late Alfred M. and Corinne V. (Galipeau) Cassavaugh. Alfred was educated in Nashua schools and was employed with the former J.F. McElwain Shoe Company for over twenty- five years.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was predeceased by his wife, Carmen M. (Choiniere) Cassavaugh who passed away in December of 1983; his brothers, Robert Cassavaugh and Paul L. Cassavaugh; and his brother-in-law, Daniel P. Brooks.
Members of his family include his three children, David Cassavaugh of Manchester, NH, Richard Cassavaugh of Rochester, NH and Katherine Schmitts of Parkton, MD; five grandchildren, Michael Cassavaugh, Merissa Cassavaugh, Clara Schmitts, Cassandra (Cassavaugh) McConnell and Anna Schmitts; his sister, Maureen Brooks of Belmont, NH; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery, 71 Derry Road, Hudson, Monday, November 6th at 12 Noon. Family and friends are invited to attend the service and welcome to join the family at the Nan King Restaurant, 222 Central Street, Route 111 in Hudson for a buffet lunch.
