Anna G. White, 79, of Nashua, widow of Luther J. White, passed away Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness.

      A resident of Nashua for many years, Mrs. White was born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 9, 1936 the only child of the late Arthur and Cornelia (Schrader) Redmond. Educated in Cleveland schools, Anna graduate from high school in 1954 and furthered her education at Fisk University in Nashville, TN where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education.

     Anna began her career in Ohio as a fourth and sixth grade teacher; worked for a time at Digital Equipment Corporation, Souhegan Services and DCYF (Division of Children, Youth and Families). Mrs. White later owned and operated “Little Tooth” Day Care in Milford.

    Mrs. White was a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church, where she was active as an usher and drummer. She loved children, animals, watching Westerns on television, trips to the beach and playing cards.

     Members of her family include her three children, Keith White and his wife Sylvia of New York, Alan White of Boston and Kelli A. White of Nashua; two grandchildren, Skye and Anna Erika White of New York.

SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Going Home Celebration will be held at the New Fellowship Baptist Church, 50 Ash Street, Nashua, Saturday, July 18th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friends are invited to attend. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to New Fellowship Baptist Church, 50 Ash Street, Nashua, NH 03060.  Arrangements are in the care of the FARWELL FUNERAL SERVICE, 18 Lock Street, Nashua.
