   Annette L. (Perrault) Bechard, 96, Nashua native and lifelong resident, passed away Sunday morning, May 19, 2024 after a brief illness. Annette is the widow of Charles A. Bechard, who recently passed away on May 3rd.         

    Born in Nashua on September 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Cornelie (Bourgoin) Perrault. Annette was educated in St. Louis de Gonzague Schools and was a member of the St. Louis High School Class of 1946.

    Annette married Charles on May 21, 1951 at St. Louis de Gonzague Church. She was devoted to her family, always ensuring that her home was a safe and welcoming place for all. Annette worked for many years in wholesale, retail and manufacturing industries including Jordan’s Luggage Shop, Textron, Inc., Nashua Wholesale Fruit, Inc., where she met her future husband, New England Telephone Company, Filenes Department Store and Nashua Corporation.

    Throughout her life, Annette remained closely connected to many of her childhood friends, each assisting the others as they faced life’s challenges. No challenge was too great for these friends to conquer. Annette and Charles’ 73 year relationship was a true partnership in every sense, with each contributing in every way possible to improve the wellbeing of the family.

     Annette was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Parish (1927-1977) and Immaculate Conception Parish (1977-2024).

     Members of her family include her son, Maurice J. Bechard and his wife, Diane M. (Coutu) of Nashua; sister-in-law, Angele Bechard of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Annette was predeceased by her son, Paul A. Bechard; eight brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law, Arthur Bechard, Robert and Gertrude Bechard, Albert and Jeanne d’Arc Bechard, Lea and Roland Jean, Irene and Wilfred Bois, Theresa and Rene Tremblay, Rita and Laurent Noel and Rachel and Rene Othot.

      A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua, Tuesday, May 28th at 11 a.m. Her family will receive relatives and friends at the church beginning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in the Old St. Louis Cemetery.
